4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
4 slices mozzarella cheese
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix sour cream, 1/2 cup Parmesan, cornstarch, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Place chicken in the dish. Top each breast with a slice of mozzarella.
- Spread the sour cream mixture evenly over the chicken. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan.
- Bake uncovered for 45–60 minutes, until chicken is cooked through (165°F) and top is golden.
- Garnish with parsley and serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
