Ingredients
Scale
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
3 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or chives
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Rinse and pat dry the chicken pieces using paper towels.
- In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil and ranch seasoning, then rub the mixture all over the chicken.
- Arrange the seasoned chicken in a baking dish and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the chicken about 5 minutes before it’s done and let it melt.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing and garnish with fresh herbs.
Notes
- Patting the chicken dry ensures a better crust.
- Using a meat thermometer is the best way to check for doneness.
- Letting the chicken rest after baking keeps it juicy.
