Description

Crispy, golden air-fried chicken taquitos made with corn tortillas and a savory cheese filling.


Ingredients

2 cups shredded chicken (cooked)
1/2 cup shredded cheese (Mexican blend or Monterey Jack)
1/4 cup salsa
1/4 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
10 small corn tortillas


Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 190C/375F.
  2. In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, cheese, sour cream, salsa, garlic powder and onion powder until well combined.
  3. Warm the tortillas for 10-15 seconds in the microwave to make them more pliable.
  4. Place 2 tablespoons of the filling onto one half of each tortilla and press down to flatten.
  5. Roll up tightly and secure with several toothpicks.
  6. Lightly grease the air fryer basket and place the taquitos into it, seam side down.
  7. Air fry for 7 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  8. Discard the toothpicks and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Ensure you use a damp paper towel when warming tortillas to prevent cracking.
  • Do not overcrowd the basket for maximum crispiness.
